The Lake
ReflectionStill waters and mirrored surfaces. A space for seeing clearly what is, without distortion.
What Is the Lake?
The Lake is a space for reflection in both senses: the mirror and the practice. When the surface is still, it shows things as they are.
This is where clarity emerges. Not through effort or analysis, but through stillness. The Lake asks nothing except presence.
"The clearest mirror is the one that doesn't try to show anything."
What Happens at the Lake
- Stillness practice: Allowing the surface to settle, watching what appears
- Mirror work: Seeing oneself without the distortions of preference or fear
- Integration: Letting disparate elements find their natural arrangement
- Clarity: Perceiving what is, rather than what is wished for or feared
The Lake is still being developed. This space will house practices and resources for reflective work.
Relationship to Other Spaces
The Lake complements the other Komo spaces:
- Cave confronts difficulty; Lake accepts what surfaces
- Sanctuary provides shelter; Lake provides clarity
- Council gathers many perspectives; Lake reveals the single view beneath
The Lake doesn't solve problems. It shows them clearly enough that solutions sometimes become obvious.
The water settles. Return when ready.
