The Cave

Deep Introspection

Descend into the depths. A space for shadow work, difficult questions, and facing what emerges in solitude.

The Cave - a candle flame in darkness

What Is the Cave?

The Cave is a space for descent. Where the Sanctuary offers peaceful contemplation, the Cave invites engagement with what is difficult, hidden, or uncomfortable.

This is where shadow work happens. Where questions that resist easy answers can be held. Where the single candle flame illuminates just enough to see what emerges from the dark.

"Some truths only become visible in reduced light."

What Happens in the Cave

  • Shadow work: Examining the uncomfortable, the avoided, the parts that don't fit the preferred narrative
  • Difficult questions: Sitting with questions that have no good answers, or only painful ones
  • Solitude practice: Being alone with what arises when external input ceases
  • Depth exploration: Going beneath the surface of experience to what underlies

The Cave is still being developed. This space will house practices and resources for deep introspective work.

Relationship to Other Spaces

The Cave complements the other Komo spaces:

  • Sanctuary offers peaceful rest; Cave offers confrontation with difficulty
  • Grove builds through dialogue; Cave works through solitude
  • Dojo challenges through opposition; Cave challenges through introspection

Not every journey requires descent. But some questions can only be answered by going down.

Return when ready.
